French designer Christian Lacroix has teamed up once again with the Paris Opéra, creating costumes for George Balanchine’s Le Palais de Cristal ballet, on stage from May 10 at the Opéra Bastille.

Christian Lacroix bir kez daha Paris Opera icin kostum tasarlayacak. 10 Mayıs’ta Opera Bastille’de sahnelenecek Le Palais de Cristal ballet’nin  kostumleri de  kendisi kadar ses getirecek.

EDWARD ENNINFUL DESIGNS PRADA MILAN STORE

 Edward Enninful,W’s Fashion and Style Director, reimagined the interiors of the Prada stores on Milan’s Via Monte Napoleone. As a part of Prada’s The Iconoclast series, Enninful dressed the black and white mannequins( with very cool hairlines) in a combination of Prada’s Spring 2014 designs and archival pieces such as the iconic turban, the flame shoes from 2012 spring summer collection.

 Milano Moda haftasında W dergisi moda ve stil direktoru Edward Enninful’un tasarladıgı ve gorsellerini hazırladıgı,  Prada Monte Napoleone magazası yeni gorunumu ile kapılarını actı.  Prada Iconoclast serisinin bir parcası olan projede Enninful Ronesans Harlem teması ile 20′lerden yola cıkarak Prada 2014 Yaz koleksiyonunu turban, alev ayakkabiları gibi ikonik parcalarla birlestirdi.

The “Astral”, another term for the “Invisible”, touches on both a journey within ourselves, and the mind’s journey outside of the body.

Astralis is devoted to exploring visions, and artistic powers by turning a contemporary art exhibition into a kind of initiatory journey designed by a dozen international artists who have created their own landscapes.

The Whitney  presents the exhibition of Edward Steichen, the pioneering American photographer best known for his striking portraits from the early-twentieth century.

Organized by  Carrie Springer, the exhibition includes celebrity portraits and fashion photographs taken for Vanity Fair and Vogue and images shot for advertising campaigns. The approximately forty-five works that comprise Edward Steichen in the 1920s and 1930s: A Recent Acquisition were a generous gift to the Whitney from Richard and Jackie Hollander in memory of Ellyn Hollander. The exhibition is on view from December 6 through February 23, 2014.

The Whitney Müzesi, portreleri ile ünlü Amerikali fotografci Edward Steichen’in 1920 ve 1930 larda çekmiş olduğu moda fotograflari, ünlülerin portreleri ve reklam kampanya çekimlerinin de olduğu bir sergiye ev sahipliği yapıyor.Ellyn Hollander’in anisina,Richard ve Jackie Hollander’dan The Whitney Müzesine hediye edilen bu fotoğraflar 23 Subat’a kadar gösterimde.

İDİL İLKİN ‘İNİŞ İZNİ’

Galerist, İdil İlkin’in “İniş İzni” başlıklı ilk kişisel sergisine 12 Aralık 2013 – 11 Ocak 2014 tarihleri arasında ev sahipliği yapıyor. Sanatçı sergide ağırlıklı olarak havacılık konusuna eğilirken “İniş İzni” başlığına metaforik bir anlam yüklüyor. Uzun bir bekleyiş sürecinin ardından türlü nedenlerden ötürü havada asılı kalmanın belirsizliğini, günümüzde taksi kadar basitleşmiş ve kullanılır hale gelmiş uçaklar üzerinden anlatmaya çalışan sanatçı sergi tarihini “iniş izni” galerisini ise “kontrol kulesi” olarak görüyor.

Eserlerinde özellikle organik endüstriyel tasarım nesnelerini işlevlerinden ayrıştırarak salt işlevsizliğin özgürlüğüne odaklanan İlkin, nesnelerin özüne sadık kalmaya çalışarak içimizde yaşadığımız türlü bölünmelerin, bölmeler hatta hücreler haline gelmesini çalışmalarında tekrarlıyor. Aynen minimal müzikteki gibi, belli aralıklarla tekrarlayan binişik sesler benzeri imaj ve hikayeler farklı katmanlarla çoklu zaman dilimleri oluşturuyor. Zamanlar birbirine karışıp iç içe geçerken, formlar bükülüp eriyerek sınırsızlaşıyor ve kimliklerinden kopuyor.”

İDİL İLKİN ‘LANDING CLEARANCE’

12 DECEMBER 2013 – 11 JANUARY 2014

Galerist is pleased to present the first solo exhibition titled ‘Landing Clearance’ by İdil İlkin from October 12, 2013 to January 11, 2014. Placing ‘aviation’ as the central visual theme in the exhibition, Ilkin expresses the ambiguity of hanging in the air through the imagery of aircrafts, which have become as commonly used as taxis in current times. Hereby the gallery becomes the ‘Control Tower’ for artist as ‘Landing Clearence’ is a metaphor for the exhibition date.

İlkin disassociates organic industrial design products and their functions in order to focus on the liberty that comes with uselessness. At the same time, she expresses the splits within us that turn us into segmented entities, locking our septated selves into disparate cells. İlkin’s compositions are just like minimal music; images and narratives make up multi-layered time segments, similar to repeated sound fragments in canonic imitation. As different times get mixed and become intertwined, forms liquefy, becoming indefinable and infinite.”
